algorithm description SCIAMACHY radiances are fitted directly using a nonlinear least-squares procedure. Fitting includes BrO and interfering species, Ring effect, and correction for spectral undersampling and wavelength mismatch between radiances and irradiances.
Slant columns are converted to vertical columns using air mass factors calculated with the SAO LIDORT radiative transfer code assuming stratospheric BrO. Tropospheric air mass factors are available for situations where they are need for further analysis.
